Senior
The Senior Program is an advanced certification within the National Ski Patrol that allows patrollers to elevate their training and leadership skills. Designed for alpine, Nordic, and other patrollers, the program includes both core and elective components tailored to each discipline. Senior candidates begin by strengthening their Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) skills and progress toward mastering high-level scene and patient care management, with a strong emphasis on leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making.

Certified
The NSP Certified Program represents the highest level of certification available to alpine patrollers, offering an opportunity to advance both training and expertise. This national education and skills verification program identifies and develops highly motivated, knowledgeable, and skilled patrollers. Certified patrollers serve as a vital resource to the National Ski Patrol, ski area management, and the broader outdoor recreation community.

Nordic Master
The Nordic Master Program is the pinnacle of certification for Nordic and backcountry patrollers. It prepares patrollers to operate independently in remote winter environments, demonstrating advanced skills in emergency care and self-sufficiency over multi-day scenarios. This program represents the highest level of achievement available to Nordic and backcountry patrollers within the National Ski Patrol.
